Street art

These are some pictures I took and edited for my photography project at uni. The criteria was to create a photo montage, but they look like cut and paste jobs so I put my own spin on it. I wanted to address the idea that often, graffiti is just white washed over despite the fact it could be an amazing piece of art. Who decides that Picasso is an artist, but someone who can create something like graffiti, which requires skill and capability, isn’t? I chose Picasso because he is often called one of the greatest artists ever, yet has also been criticised for his supposed lack of skill when he changed his artistic styling during his cubism period. I’m really pleased with how they turned out, especially because I’ve never used Photoshop before, had no help in making them and managed to do all three images in two days. Fingers crossed for my mark!
